Vidya Balan Biography

Vidya Balan full name is Vidya P. Balan. She is an Indian actress of Bollywood industry. Vidya Balan was born on 1 January 1979 in Poothamkurussy, Puthur, Palakkad, Kerala, India. she is 40 years old (In age 2018). Her father, P. R. Balan, is the executive vice-president of Digicable and her mother, Saraswathy Balan, is a homemaker. Her elder sister name is Priya Balan and her second cousin Priyamani is an actress. Vidya grew up childhood in the rural neighborhood of Chembur, Mumbai and went to St. Anthony Girls’ High School. She attended St. Xavier’s College to pursue a bachelor’s degree in sociology and later earned a master’s degree from the University of Mumbai.

Vidya Balan Career Life:-

She starts her career by the Bengali film Bhalo Theko which released in 2003. The director of this film was Goutam Halder and she got the Anandalok Puraskar Best Actress award. The turning moment in her career came when she acted in the Hindi film Parineeta in 2005. This film brought her enormous accomplishment after which there was no thinking back for Vidya. 2009 to 2011 was the golden period of Vidya’s career when she acted in films like Paa (2009), Ishqiya (2010), The Dirty Picture (2011), and No One Killed Jessica (2011). Besides acting in the film, Vidya promotes humanitarian causes and supports charitable institutions, children’s education and the empowerment of women. In March 2011, she endorsed the World Wildlife Fund’s Earth Hour campaign in India. she was the youngest recipient of the award.
